So, what is the Neograft? The NeoGraft is the first FDA cleared follicular unit harvesting and implantation system for men and women. The Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method gently removes the individual follicles from the back of the head or the “donor area” in their naturally occurring groupings of about 1-4 hairs. The follicles are then immediately artistically implanted in the areas of the scalp where balding has occurred to complement the facial structure and current hairline, resulting in a discrete, natural-looking hair transplant. The advantages of the Neograft are there are no staples or stitches involved and there is no incision so there are no scalpels used. There is minimal discomfort and the recovery time is quick. Patients can resume their normal activity after only a few days. Most of all, there is no linear scar, therefore the hairline is natural looking.
